Minneapolis, Minnesota, lying on both banks of the Mississippi River,
adjoins the city of St. Paul, making the two known as the Twin Cities.
Incorporated as a town in 1856 and as a city in 1867, Minneapolis was

Once a town of timber and flour milling, Minneapolis
is now the primary business center lying between Chicago and Seattle.
