Chariman and CEO of Outdoor Living Brands
Chris Grandpre Chariman and CEO of Outdoor Living Brands
Mr. Grandpre serves as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Chairman of Outdoor Living Brands, a company committed to franchising the outdoor living market’s top brands. As the CEO and Chairman, Mr. Grandpre sets strategic direction for the company, including growth through new business ventures, acquisitions, franchise operations, and the fostering of a corporate culture of service and innovation.
Mr. Grandpre had served as the President of Archadeck from late 2005 until the formation of Outdoor Living Brands in 2008. Prior to joining the Archadeck family, he worked for two investment banking and merger and acquisition advisory firms, Matrix Capital Markets Group, Inc. and BB&T Capital Markets, as well as Accenture, CFC, a consulting firm. During his career, he has served in an advisory capacity on more than $500 million worth of corporate transactions, including both public and private market equity and debt financings, divestitures, acquisitions, and corporate sales.
Mr. Grandpre holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a Concentration in Finance from the University of Notre Dame. He also has a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University. He resides in Richmond, Virginia with his wife, Susan, and their three children.
Chief Operating Officer and VP of Outdoor Living Brands
Scott Zide Chief Operating Officer and VP of Outdoor Living Brands
As the Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Zide manages the daily operations of Outdoor Living Brands. In 2000, he became an Outdoor Living Perspectives franchisee (of the St. Louis, Missouri location) after spending many years as a franchise owner in the restaurant industry. Outdoor Lighting Perspectives Franchise (OLPF) hired him to serve as their consultant in 2002, where he would help support new franchisees – a job that led to a full-time position as the Director of Franchise Support.
Mr. Zide and his wife, Erin, sold their OLP St. Louis location in June, 2004 and moved to Charlotte, where he would assume the role of OLPF’s Vice President. During his time with OLP, Mr. Zide helped the company grow dramatically and held primary responsibilities such as long-term strategic planning and daily operations management procedures. He also co-founded Mosquito Squad in 2005. Outdoor Living Brands acquired this company and its 17 locations and has grown it to more than 175 locations today.
Mr. Zide has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from the University of Kansas. He currently lives in Richmond, Virginia, with his wife and their two children.
Chief Financial Officer and VP of Outdoor Living Brands
Corey Schroeder Chief Financial Officer and VP of Outdoor Living Brands
As the Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Outdoor Living Brands, Mr. Schroeder has responsibilities that include overseeing franchise compliance matters, working to support the strategic direction of the company, assisting franchisees to evaluate the financial performance of their businesses, and the financial reporting and management of the business.
Mr. Schroeder served as the Chief Financial Officer and Vice President for Archadeck from 2006 until Outdoor Living Brands was formed. Before Archadeck, he held a position at CarMax’s corporate treasury department. He also spent many years in merger and acquisition investment banking at Matrix Capital Markets Group, Inc. in Richmond, Virginia. He served in an advisory capacity on many transactions throughout his investment banking career, including private equity and debt financings, divestitures, acquisitions, and corporate sales.
Mr. Schroeder received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a Concentration in Finance from the University of Richmond. He also has a Master’s Degree in Accounting from the College of William and Mary and even holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. Mr. Schroeder currently lives in Richmond, Virginia with his wife, Jessica, and their two children.
Brand Leader and Vice President
Michael Reeder Brand Leader and Vice President
As the Brand Leader, Michael Reeder handles the daily operations of Archadeck’s franchise system. He is responsible for mentoring, training, and coaching franchisees – both new and existing. He also closely monitors system growth and leads the franchise recruitment process by selecting candidates to join Archadeck.
Mr. Reeder worked in the hospitality business with Hyatt Hotels for 15 years before beginning his career as an Archadeck franchisee in Columbus, Ohio. From the day his entrepreneurship with Archadeck began in August, 2001 until the end of 2015, he successfully grew the business to $2 million in yearly revenue.
In 2012, Michael received the “Presidents Award” for outstanding franchisee of the year. He also served on the Strategic Advisory Board, as the Midwest Regional President for 2 terms, and on many franchise committees throughout his tenure. He sold his business in early 2016 to take on a new position as Archadeck’s Brand Leader.
Michael’s expertise in business management, operations management, and sales are what made him the best candidate to bring Archadeck to new heights. Mr. Reeder received his Degree in Business Management from the University of Houston. He currently lives in Richmond, Virginia with his wife, Carol, and their two boys – Kyle and Jacob.
Director of Franchise Support
Chris Koch Director of Franchise Support
Chris Koch joined Outdoor Living Brands and the Archadeck team in February of 2018 as Director of Franchise Support. Ms. Koch works with the Archadeck franchisees to provide business and operations support. In her previous positions in franchise support with both Pearle Vision and Smartbox Moving and Storage she worked with franchise owners to help them achieve their business goals. At Archadeck her efforts are concentrated specifically on working with each franchisee to improve daily business operational efficencies, provide ongoing performance evaluation, and strategic planning support. Ms. Koch also consults with franchisees on the utilization of the Archadeck technology tools to improve local efficiencies and sales while working with the Outdoor Living Brands IT team to ensure that these tools are fulfilling the business needs of the franchisees.
Ms. Koch graduated from the University of Lynchburg and currently lives in Glen Allen, Virginia with her husband and twin boys.
Director of Drafting
Jonathan Duke Director of Drafting
Mr. Duke joined the Outdoor Living Brands team in March, 2006 and serves as a Drafting Director for Archadeck Outdoor Living. His primary responsibility is overseeing the development, delivery and quality of the construction drawing documents prepared for projects being coordinated by Archadeck franchisees. He also consults daily with franchisees and their staff on project design challenges and solving construction problems encountered in the field. Architectural drawings are one of the many talents in the mix, but he also supports our franchisees and does engineering. Franchisees call him with questions other than the basics, which tend to lead to brain-picking. Mr. Duke uses a wide range of mathematics to do designs for columns, footings, and bracing. Calculations are done by using statics to prevent our projects from uplifting
Drafting Team Leader
Matt Gwaltney Drafting Team Leader
In 1995, Matt joined Archadeck Outdoor Living and now serves as the team’s Drafting Leader. He assists Archadeck franchisees every day by providing assistance with engineering and construction support. Matt also provides structural proposals and sketches in order to ensure each Archadeck Outdoor Living office maintains job flow. This makes it easier and more efficient for franchisees to provide top-quality client service. Additionally, Matt helps with new franchisee training and even leads some of the Archadeck University training seminars.
Another one of Matt’s responsibilities as the Drafting Department’s Team Leader involves overseeing the Drafting Database Information Forms and aids in the construction process. He monitors each sold project through Archadeck’s pre-screening procedure and performs drafting omissions checks to make sure every job is sent to the franchisee promptly and properly.
Matt also assists Victor Weaver by ensuring the correct updates are carried out for residential and commercial building codes on an as-needed basis.
Director of Design and Pricing
Ed Repak Director of Design and Pricing
Ed’s career with Archadeck began in the construction and Drafting Department in 1989. As the business grew, so did his role at the company. He spent several years as the Director of Construction and Drafting while transitioning into a support role as a field consultant and trainer for Archadeck. Now he serves as the Brands Director of Design and Pricing. His new role involves training new design consultants and franchisees in a way that focuses on construction, design, and the pricing aspects of Archadeck University’s training program. He even helped develop “Tally,” Archadeck’s proprietary estimating tool.
Ed spends a lot of his time consulting with offices across North America about estimations, construction, design, and operations through annual field visits and web-based, one-on-one training.
Before joining the Archadeck team, Ed attended the Architecture program at Penn State University, He was a self-employed design/build remodeler with a focus in carpentry, roofing, and masonry.

Brand Strategist at Outdoor Living Brands
Larry Spada Brand Strategist at Outdoor Living Brands
Mr. Spada spearheads the Outdoor Living Brands personality efforts by creating a multi-brand franchise channel for the company, which includes Archadeck, Renew Crew, Outdoor Lighting Perspectives, Conserva Irrigation and Mosquito Squad.
Mr. Spada served as the Director of Brand Marketing and Lead Generation for Outdoor Lighting Perspectives before Outdoor Living Brands was formed. During this time, his role involved national advertising activities, the creation of a Lifestage Direct Mail methodology, and the company’s rebranding. He has more than 25 years of marketing experience and has worked with some of the top brands in the country, including Saks Fifth Avenue, Mayo Clinic, Jack Daniels, FedEx, and Bank of America.
Additionally, Mr. Spada has worked with many highly respected marketing and advertising agencies, such as Spada Advertising, Interactive Direct Marketing, and Adworks – companies he founded and operated. He also has experience with Wray Ward and iXL Enterprises, both of which are located in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Mr. Spada is a graduate of Canisius College in Buffalo, New York. He currently lives in Charlotte, North Carolina, with his wife, Laurel. They have two grown children.
Digital Marketing Manager
Jane Campbell Digital Marketing Manager
In January, 2009, Ms. Campbell became a part of the Outdoor Living Brands family and now holds the position of Digital Marketing Manager for Archadeck, Conserva Irrigation, Mosquito Squad, Outdoor Lighting Perspectives, and Renew Crew. She has robust knowledge of the online environment and spearheads the company’s overall inbound strategy. She assesses different opportunities and consults with franchisees while they’re establishing their business’s online presence. Ms. Campbell helps franchisees with every aspect of inbound marketing, including pay-per-click advertising, social media, and website and search engine optimization. She also tracks the inbound marketing space to frequently identify new tactics and tools, as the online marketing environment changes regularly.
Ms. Campbell graduated from University of Richmond and currently resides in Rochester Hills, Michigan with her husband and son.
Steve Nguyen Graphic Designer
Mr. Nguyen firmly believes that graphic design is about much more than appearance –what it is trying to communicate is just as important. Our Outdoor Living Brands’ award-winning graphic designer utilizes his diverse art background and comes up with compelling ways to use typography, photography, composition, color, concept, and other media to create successful, clear projects.
Mr. Nguyen attended Fredonia State University of New York and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design. He currently resides in Richmond, VA with his wife and son.
IT Training, Support, and Development
Amanda Berdeen IT Training, Support, and Development
Ms. Berdeen holds the position of IT Support Specialist and is one of the Outdoor Living Brands Technology Support team’s valued members. She assists with the implementation of the technology platform for Renew Crew, which currently includes Service Minder, QuickBooks Online, the Performance Center, and Google Apps. Ms. Berdeen’s background is heavy in both IT experience and customer service. She loves being able to combine these skills in a way that works with franchisees.
Brand Marketing Consultant
Alex Mercer Brand Marketing Consultant
Alex joined the Archadeck team in 2018 and holds the position of Brand Marketing Consultant for Archadeck and Outdoor Lighting Perspectives. She serves as the franchisees’ main point of contact for their marketing needs and works with the team to put together the marketing strategy for the Archadeck brand.
Previously, Alex worked as an account executive at a full-service marketing agency where she managed a variety of projects including brand refreshes, websites, print, strategy and more. She also serves as VP of Communications on the Board of the American Marketing Association Richmond Chapter.
Alex graduated from the University of Virginia and currently resides in Richmond, VA with her husband, Brian, and dog, Kona.
Digital Marketing Consultant
Annena Ellis Digital Marketing Consultant
Annena Ellis joined the Outdoor Living Brands team in April of 2018 and serves as the Digital Marketing Consultant for Archadeck, Conserva Irrigation, Mosquito Squad, Outdoor Lighting Perspectives, and Renew Crew. With a background in inbound marketing, SEO, and marketing strategy, Annena Ellis helps franchises owners across all brands with their digital marketing initiatives and online presence. Utilizing her knowledge and passion for pay-per-click campaigns, search engine optimization, content creation, and email marketing, Annena assists franchisees with analyzing the strength of their online presences’ and provides practical recommendations on how they can improve with a goal of enhancing the success of their business overall.
Originally from Raleigh, North Carolina and a graduate of the University of North Carolina Wilmington, Annena now resides in Richmond, Virginia with her dog/fur baby, Umphrey.
Monica Vaughan Production Coordinator
Monica Vaughan became Shipping and Receiving Clerk in 1991 when she first joined the Archadeck team. During this time, she also gave the franchise marketing and development teams valuable administrative support. In the late 1990’s, Ms. Vaughan was promoted and joined the accounting department, giving administrative support to the CEO and COO. As the Archadeck Outdoor Living franchise system grew, she promoted to become the growing drafting team’s Production Coordinator. Today, Ms. Vaughan provides franchise support by tracking and logging sold projects for the entire franchise system. Additionally, she handles general support duties and contracts auditing for the accounting and Drafting Departments for every Archadeck franchise office.
